The beautiful beach curves 2.5km around the coast from Tomaree Head to Nelson Bay and offers calm bay waters perfect for swimming, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding (available for hire every day during the high seasons of school holidays, long weekends and Easter). There are BBQ facilities and picnic tables along the beachside reserve, and less than 1km further along the foreshore, you can climb Mount Tomaree for spectacular views from the summit. Right on your doorstep you will find waterfront eateries, bars and shops, including the popular Country Club Hotel, and just a 5-minute drive brings you to the township of Nelson Bay. Come and experience Shoal Bay, one of the prettiest coastal towns Australia has to offer!
This renovated, air-conditioned duplex apartment is on the ground floor. Open plan living leads out to the wrap around balcony so you can relax either inside or outside on one of the outdoor settings, looking out at the distant water views. The living area boasts 2 leather lounges and a leather chair, a flat screen TV, Wifi and a 6-seater dining table, and the contemporary kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a large 2-door fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven and rangehood.
The 3 bedrooms are all beautifully decorated with soft furnishings and ceiling fans. The master bedroom features a queen bed and a flat screen TV, the 2nd bedroom has a double bed and glass sliding doors out to the balcony and the 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds. The modern bathroom offers a great place to rejuvenate after a day out adventuring, with its deep soaker tub and separate rainfall shower, and there is a convenient 2nd toilet in the internal laundry along with a washing machine and dryer.
Gated off-street parking is available for 2 cars.

Good, but definitely not great!
The accommodation was good, but not great- overall it like we were staying in a caravan park rather than up-market accommodation.
- Check in process is confusing and time consuming.
-Make sure to bring EVERYTHING you need- we were only provided with 1 roll of toilet paper and 2x 1cm thick bars of soap for 6 people for a weekend!!
-Place is clean but not to the standard that I would have expected (clothes left in cupboard still, food stains in the fridge and ‘sticky’ tv remote)
-The fan in the second bedroom didn’t work
-Overall, was a satisfactory stay but due to the money outlaid we would have expected a lot more. Location was good , only 3 mins walk from main strip and water.

If there are ever any issues on arrival or during your stay we do ask that you contact our office so that we can get them addressed. Apologies for the lack of essentials, house keeping should have left a spare roll of toilet paper for you, only a starter pack is provided, our apologies for your dissatisfaction.

almost perfect
This air b n b was almost perfect.
looking just like the pictures on the website we were very pleased, the place was close to the beach, country club and super market.
The place was clean, but had no toilet paper, sugar, coffee or tea.

Nice property
This is a nice property however there was absolutely nothing there about local restaurants or places of interest. There was nothing to tell us when it was garbage night.
Bedroom fans were so noisy we couldn’t have them on and it was hot.
The noise from the flat above was horrendous at night. Sounded like a herd of elephants running around.

I need a holiday from the holiday -key debacle
So disappointed with alloggio key set up. Didnt get info email so was already in shoal bay and had to drive back out (with tired kids in car) had issues getting into key box so had to call for help when inside. Also dropping off still showing errors so had to call again. Ridiculous set up and I will not be booking anything with this set up again. Also pretty light on with toilet paper, tea bags etc.
