Holiday escape near the water at picturesque Soldiers Point
In peacefully beautiful Soldiers Point, this spacious and charming beach house is only metres to the picturesque beach which overlooks the bay and headlands and is perfect for swimming, fishing, walking and kayaking. Just 200m away is Bannister's Resort, which offers 3 restaurants including the famous Rick Stein at Port Stephens restaurant, or for a more casual option, Soldiers Point Bowling Club is right across the road. At the Point is the Marina, where you'll find a boat ramp, playground, tennis courts, cafes and more restaurants, and nearby is lovely Pearson Park with its large shaded grass areas, picnic tables, BBQ, toilets, playground and safe swimming. For shopping, you can head 1.2km to the Wanda Beach Shops for a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, or further afield (5km) is Salamander Shopping Centre. The main township of Nelson Bay is 8.5km away.
Brimming with cosy coastal charm, this well appointed, 2-storey house has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, toilet and large balcony on each level. The lovely entrance on the ground floor leads to a comfortable sitting and dining area with soft furnishings, a flat screen TV, ceiling fans and a large selection of books and DVD's to keep guests entertained, along with a kitchen equipped with a microwave, freestanding oven and fridge/freezer. A huge undercover balcony offers a great space to sit out in the fresh air and sunshine, and there is an external laundry with washing machine, with a clothesline to dry washing outside.
The ground level also has the 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms, all with built-in robes and pedestal fans, and featuring a queen bed in 2 of the bedrooms while the 3rd has 2 king single beds, as well as the bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet.
Upstairs is the main living area, with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and coffee machine, another dining area, and a delightful, air-conditioned lounge room with a TV, ceiling fans, comfortable seating and sliding doors that lead out to another huge undercover balcony with an outdoor dining table and chairs, gas BBQ, a sun lounge, and sensational water views over the bay – the perfect place to chill out over drinks while fresh, tasty seafood is grilled on the BBQ.
The large driveway offers plenty of easy parking plus room to park a boat – please note that the garage is not for guest use.

Great stay, could do with a little bit of attention
Pros:- House was well suited for family of 4 and had lots of space
Great location Near beach/shop/restaurant
Cons:- Doesn’t have WIFI, need to pick up and drop of keys to Nelson bay, didn’t receive email with house instructions, house wasn’t cleaned when we checked in but staff did manage to get a cleaner quickly and they did a great job. Dining table is about to collapse and there are no batteries in any remotes. External of house could do with a high pressure spray to remove spiderwebs and cockroaches has no laundry.
For the cost to rent the property I expected everything to be seamless but I also understand That Nothing is ever perfect
Would stay at this property again but would send management a checklist before arriving

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feed back. Dining table has been fixed, was damaged from previous guests. The cleaner notification had failed to be sent, our apologies for this but glad a cleaner came quickly. Batteries have now been replaced (there were spares in the TV cabinet). Cobwebs have been removed on external walls. There is a laundry outside the back door (key to laundry hanging on downstairs kitchen window.
